Pittsburgh Harlequins U19 and U23 Academy Program

The Pittsburgh Harlequins U19 and U23 teams represent the next generation of elite rugby talent in Western Pennsylvania. As a development program affiliated with the storied Pittsburgh Harlequins Rugby Football Club, the Academy brings together the region’s top young athletes to compete at the highest levels of age‑grade rugby.

Built on a foundation of teamwork and passion for the sport, the U19 and U23 programs offer a high‑performance pathway for aspiring athletes. All current athletes are encouraged to participate and continue developing their skills. National championship caliber coaching, advanced training, and strategic development are designed to elevate each player’s rugby IQ.

Competitive match opportunities across the Midwest include the Buckeye Invitational for U19 players. The U23 players will comprise the Allegheny Rugby Union Select Side and compete in the Thunderbird Cup at the Chicago Blaze facility.

Our mission is to develop well‑rounded athletes who embody the spirit of rugby-on and off the pitch- preparing them for success at the collegiate, club, and national levels. Whether you are chasing a national championship or looking to grow within a supportive and competitive environment, the Harlequins Academy is where future stars take shape.

All players from Western PA and surrounding areas are eligible to participate.

Training sessions typically begin at the end of April. Schedules will be posted as they are confirmed.

Participation includes a training kit for each player.

All practice will be at Founders Field unless otherwise noted
Players need to bring cleats, rugby shorts, a mouthguard, and water.
