Brendan Ryan
Director of Rugby Operations
Brendan brings more than four decades of rugby dedication to the Director of Rugby role, nearly all of it with the Pittsburgh Harlequins. His connection to the club began during his early playing days at New England College, when he first trained with the Harlequins while home on break in 1983, and he has been a ‘Quin ever since.
Throughout a long front row career, Brendan remained active at multiple levels of the game, earning coaching certificates and serving as club president as well as president of the Allegheny Rugby Union. After his playing years, he continued to contribute through coaching high school boys and girls, leading the Harlequins RFA as president, and serving on the National Collegiate Rugby compliance committee.
His tours abroad, along with an administrative visit with Christchurch RFC and the Crusaders program, reinforced the importance of developing youth pathways to build a strong club structure and ethos. Brendan now brings that dedication, experience, and forward‑thinking approach to the Harlequins as Director of Rugby.
