Quins to Host Media RFC Saturday at 1:00pm

The Pittsburgh Harlequins look to continue their successful home stand this Saturday when they host cross-State rival Media Rugby Club. The teams last met almost exactly one year ago to the day in Philadelphia, beating the home team 36-25.

Media is coming off a 41-26 win at home against Baltimore-Chesapeake Rugby club- their first win of the 2011 Fall Season.  Earlier losses include a 27-0 final against 2010 Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union champion, Norfolk RFC, and a close loss to The Maryland Exiles.

The Harlequins are coming off a decisive win against the Washington Rugby club this past weekend- a game played in challenging conditions of rain and mud.  The weather kept both teams from using their full arsenal of offensive talent in the back lines, but the very athletic forward pack of the Quins stole many of the Washington set pieces.

Saturdays game against Media should be a decidedly different style of game, as Coach Steve Walsh prepares the team to utilize the sunny and warm conditions.  Expect better use of the entire field in contrast to a the slower, controlled game played this past weekend in the cold and rain.

A-side will kickoff at 1:00pm at Founders Field, with B-side to follow.
