7th Annual Challenge Cup All-Star Tournament

Founders Field is the host site for 7th Annual Challenge Cup U-19 and U-17 regional All-Star Tournament on June 18th-19th. This event will allow the top local high school rugby talent to compete with elite level players from around the country. 22 teams, primarily from the Northeastern United States will compete for two days, hoping to showcase players to National Team Selectors.

Match play will start on 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and will resume on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. There will be an awards presentation following the Championship Games on Sunday afternoon.

This event is an opportunity for LAU’s and SBRO’s to test themselves against other teams from throughout the United States, including teams from Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Carolina, Florida. The event has gained the attention of Selectors and Coaches at USA Rugby (www.usarugby.org), resulting in many invitations to National Team Training Camps.

THE POTOMAC RUGBY FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization with vision and purpose that promotes, develops and preserves rugby football in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
